IDK, my job as a classical conductor is already pretty cool. BJJ is my hobby aside from wife, kids, and caring for my elderly parents.

I've started a pretty nice "Heritage Boot" collection.

So far I have:

Two pairs of Red Wing Iron Rangers - One in Amber and the other Slate Muleskinner (roughout)
One pair of Nicks Handmade Boots Officer Boot (black Max support leather in an 8")
One pair of Truman Boot Company - Java waxed flesh (roughout as the wax wears off)
One pair of Whites Boots - MP Boot in Black Chromexcel (beautiful and unreal quality)
One pair of Bordon Boots - Tukano in Oxblood (burgundy chrome tanned leather)
One pair of Urban Shepherd - Country boot - tan
One pair of Oak St Bootmakers - Trench Boot - Natural tan Chromexcel
One pair of the W.M. Moorby - Black with natural coloured welt

All my boots are either in the gold standard Goodyear welt in various configurations (270deg or 360deg welt) or Stitchdown construction.
I do not have any Blake Stitch, Rapid Blake Stitch, Molded Rubber or Glued boots.
Even my Dr Martens are Goodyear welted, albeit a plastic welt.
They can all be resoled at a local cobbler although the stitchdown construction tends to be more difficult.
When I get my Dr Martens resoled I will be going with cork, shank and leather midsole, a vibram 430 mini lug sole with a leather heal stack and minilug top lift. Will probably only resole a few of those this way and the rest of my Docs will just have to go in the bin when they are done.

I also have a pair of Nicks Handmade boots - 8" Workboots on order in a Natural colour Smooth over roughout chrome tanned leather in a natural tan colour. Those will be here in Feb sometime.

I made sure to have enough shoe trees to keep the shape of the toe box.

My next pair will most likely be a pair of Grant Stone Diesel boots in a saddle tan leather (Badalassi Carlo Tannery veg tan)
They look amazing and can likely build up a nice patina with wear.

I spend most of my time watching video reviews on boots and leather care videos.
It is definitely an obsession for me for now.

Still going strong...just not investing in any more jackets for now.
If I do it will most likely be a jacket from Schott NYC.
They have some pretty cool jackets.
Of course my fave is and always be Aero Leather Jackets.

At 70, my professions have become hobbies. Other than teaching judo and BJJ, I love folklore, wordplay, gaming, pottery, quilts (looking at, not making), RPGs, go, and especially traditional music. You can check out my YouTube music channel at https://www.youtube.com/@TradmanTX I still try to post two videos a week, so I have well over a thousand music videos. I am a world champion player on both mountain dulcimer and English concertina.

My wife got me a onewheel for my birthday, so when I'm not on the mats, I'm usually raging around town or on my property when it's nice out. This thing is so much fun.

Not my thing haha. Real falconers are hunters. I’m definitely not a bird keeper.

I do some graphic design (nowadays logo designs for BJJ friends), dabble with online merch (from tshirts to gi's) and my students got me a PS5 for my birthday this year. I enjoy travelling (not the airport/ flying part). During the lockdowns I revived my bartending skills and made around 100+ different cocktails. Not a heavy drinker but enjoy a drop or two Lagavulin once a while so I also have some nice whiskies scattered around

If you ever see a bottle of MACKMYRA I highly recommend it if you enjoy whisky. It’s a beautiful Swedish whisky I own, absolutely phenomenal!

Of course, how can I have conversation with people who don't train without sounding like a crazed Maeda disciple?
LOL!

Since 2022 me and a few of my buddies have really taken a liking to indoor rock climbing. It's been an awesome for grip development, shoulder mobility, and a big increase to my static strength.

Now that my knee is busted, I guess it's time to start gaming again. Before lifting and grappling I would spend days (literally, days) gaming. Personal best (or worst) was 48 hours with some toilet or snack breaks included.

Once the knee is up to the task, I'll have to start mountain biking more again. I miss it.
