Every stripe requires recertification in the blackbelt ranks.
It's weird because my first stripe did not require verification and the thread of verifications was maintained on my page. When I added the 2nd stripe today, everything disappeared.

All my blackbelt stripes have reset my verification. It has been that way from the beginning.

Quick question: I heard in this site if you don’t have a coach or you are a Ronin JJ guy, you can claim your time served degrees here. So if that true how does that work? Who puts your black belt degrees in your belt? You yourself?

And thoughts please?

I moved to another state from my professor 6 years ago and claim time served for stripes. My gym is all nogi so I just put a stripe on my promotion belt myself at the 3 and 6 year mark.

This website had a banner with a notification on top that I could claim my stripe for time served so that process was super easy.

If you claim a black belt degree based on time served, it does not require re-verification of the votes. It's only required if you are promoted by someone because people then of course have to verify that you were actually promoted by this person.

For your first degree you did not need reverification because you picked promotion based on time served. However, for your second degree, you have picked "I was promoted by someone" and then in the "promoted by" field, you wrote yourself "Time served". The system can't see/understand what you write there, so it thinks you claim you were promoted by a person called "Time served", therefore it triggered reverification of your votes.
