If anyone feels I got some evidence to satisfy the most critical of minds, Ill gladly take a vote or two. Why the long time at white belt? Basically injuries, kids, and didn't feel like I needed a belt. Now as I age it's just a mountain I want to climb. Plus my kid got to his blue belt before me and I couldn't have him get to purple ahead of me. Lucky for me he has paused for a bit. At some point I'll get to black, I'll retire from the day job and teach somewhere warm, but not too warm. I enjoy mopping Mats, surfing. I did 8 years prior to BJJ in wing Chun but my first ju jitsu classes was Japanese way back as a 10 year old. If only I kept going from that age. I still remember the class on mount escape and a calf slicer. I used the later today, 42 years later. Today it's all no gi and has a lot of catch. I'm going to start up gi again just to get some time in. My Hong shot was a few years in of training in 2015.
