Promoted byMarcelo NunesIn the attached photo I am the guy to the right of the black belt, Marcelo Nunes. I go by Rob, and there's an action shot of me training labeled "Rob Klink". Marcelo ran our BJJ program for a number of years after Tom, he was a fantastic instructor, friend, and training partner. There still weren't many black belts in MN at the time, maybe a a dozen or so, spread out from the brainerd lakes area thru the twin cities.

I started training in August of '08. I was in high school, out of shape, and trying to better myself after meeting an influential friend who's transformation through Thai boxing was impressive. Chris Cichon was my first real martial arts coach, and he encouraged me to try BJJ even though he was just barely starting to train it too. I have an immense number of formative experiences in that gym, teaching/coaching, training with some world class instructors and competitors in MMA, striking, and grappling, and trying to better myself.
