BKHe has many personal photos of his time in Brazil:GB with Carlinho from the early 2000s on his Facebook profile. You can also find his DVD from OTM, I believe it was the original turtle guard instructional. Josh is one of the OG BB Canadians.
JTrying to find some source of Josh's original BB promotion online (photo from promotion or confirmation from Carlinho), but only find second hand information. Anywhere you can point to where I can look?

"Looks legit to me"
"Well documented "
"I verify Benjamin's black belt 3rd degree rank based on external evidence from Authentic Jiu Jitsu's website, BJJ community sources, and academy records. Josh Russell, a 5th degree black belt and Alberta's first BJJ black belt since around 2007, had full authority as head instructor to promote Benjamin to black belt on July 11, 2015, after approximately two years at brown belt, exceeding IBJJF minimums (typically 1 year from brown to black). Subsequent degrees in 2018, 2021, and 2024 align with 3-year minimums per degree, supported by consistent competition medals from 2007-2017 with no contradictory evidence found on Smoothcomp or elsewhere."
"So handso...... I mean legit, so legit"
