So...

The rumor and propaganda is that BJJ Globetrotters promotes without care.

Likewise, this system is being criticized as an extension.

We should all be more careful with our votes,

and should expect that the site may get spoofed with fake belts,

and then a campaign made about it.

When at war, plan and think like one at war.

I think the main benefit this system has is that in addition to being able to verify, we have the ability to unverify. That's a major difference from the IBJJF structure, where unethical black belts might be protected.
Correct. Even if someone manages to get a fake belt verified, as soon as it is revealed, the profile will be bombed immediately. All verifications are live and no votes are final, even on ID cards and certificates (QR codes). That is the real strength of this, in my opinion.

I didn't even think about the QR codes on the ID's being able to expose someone as being "fake" or w/e even after the fact. Thats interesting.

Yeah a bit risky to put a certificate on the wall with a QR code showing the community exposed you as fake :)

Would still love to hear more about this before this topic disappears down onto page 2 :)

I don't even bother looking at links posted anywhere about news articles on their site. 3/4s of them you can't even read without paying the yearly subscription, most of them are videos, and the articles are shorter and less substantiated than stuff that gets posted on BJJEE. Not to mention the sheer amount of ads and popups that Flo runs, that if I accidentally do click on a link, it was almost always crashing Chrome.

I understand but you should have an option to pay to get ads, to make the transition easier for veteran flo users. ;)
