I have a Finnish Karate Federation Karatepassport No 56. It did not mean much in 1978 when I got it. But now numbers are somewhere 10 000 ... I don't know. So achievement? Maybe?

My opinion:
I won a competition match with an electric chair, i think rare submissions should be a badge
Winning a competition match in under 30 seconds should be an achievement
Logging 25, 50, 100 hours at camps should be an achievement
I've competed in 4 different countries and 2 continents, i feel that's worth a badge

These are some good ideas. While I wouldn't quite put electric chair in that category there are definitely done highlight reel level submissions/techniques that would make for dinner fun badges. Hell they could even be in a different section so they don't water done such achievement badges as training for 10+ years.

Solid ideas

I like this. Consistency with a submission in competition could give like a specialist badge for 20 kimura/twister/juji/triangle etc. . . . wins. That would be cool. I'd want to hunt that.

Except there is no validation check on competition results, so people can put whatever they want and get the badges :)

They could, but isn't the whole point of this site to call bullshit on people? I realise the electric chair is a very impressive submission, but i have the footage to show my grandchildren.

If you have 50-100-150 matches in your record, who is going to be able to verify what submission were used where, it's impossible to know/remember. Way too much data for community verification.

I have another idea though, that you will like. Working on it these days but will take some time to get it right before we publish :)
