Can someone help me understand the logic behind the Beltchecker verification? I’m only asking because I’ve posted photos of my promotions, listed tournaments I’ve competed and medaled in, come from an established school, and still I’m not verified. I’m not in any way saying this as a dig to the system, just trying to grasp the reasoning.

Thanks!

Your profile won't automatically get verified by people just because you have posted photos. Its down to the community for them to upvote your profile, if they look into your profile, maybe do a little research and/or have maybe trained with you in the past that kind of thing. Contributing to the forums will help your profile get noticed (although no posts asking for verification are allowed, this one maybe sailing close to the wind lol) and then people may choose to do a little research into you and your page. It is a slow process especially if you are not know by people here but it definitely helps maintain the integrity of the community as a whole. It's a great process. Just be patient.

That is super helpful! Thank you.
No problem and I have just taken 5 mins to look at your profile and give you my vote. Hope that helps!

Note: I have spent half hour or so a day looking at verifying profiles on here, i tend to look at their photos, who their instructors were do I know them personally. I also spend the time to look at social media and search for people on you tube. If they list IBJJF Comp results these are easy enough to verify in just a few seconds too.

I think it all helps in making the process challenging for people which in turn will discourage any fakes out there to try their luck.
