Hey guys, if you need votes to get verified, I would suggest making sure to link an Instagram of a Facebook.
I will tell you off the bat that if you find me on IG and we have mutual friends in the Jiujitsu community that know you, I will give you a vote. I don’t have Facebook.
Also, as much as we have our opinions of IBJJF, if you have an IBJJF ID card and upload the picture. People will probably toss you a vote.
Finally pictures of you at your current rank on the podium are great as well.
You standing with 4 random dudes that no one knows in a gym that no one knows does not exactly get people to jump and voting for you.

Typically a few hours for it to get verified/rejected. Maximum like a half a day, unless something unusual is going on.

I feel the hardest part is I only know 1 guy here, met him a few times in Colorado while I was stationed there. 98% of the people I trained with are not in here, and feel like some of us may sit for a while as, like you said , you have to look for a random on a group of randoms. I mainly teach Army combatives, i have 2 Facebook accounts I manage besides my personal one, and admin of a 3rd. I will try to add them to this, however, it still comes down to someone having to have the time to research us. I know it's hard to vet everyone, and I forsee dead accounts coming unless people are active. Being in the Army I see this alot on having to keep up with stuff especially when we barely know each other. I'm not competitive so I will rarely be on a podium however I run competitions and teach for a living. My 2c on this for those that are looking to get verified are to be patient, just like getting promoted, it will come.

It takes time. Stay active here in the forums and people will look at your profile and make a decision on whether to vote for you or not. People have different criteria for voting so just be patient.

Most people don't give a flying shit about the IBJJF on here, at least that's my point of view, I can't speak for everyone.
IBJJF certification is recognised on the sight with its own cool little icon, which I noticed you have.
I have recently changed some information on my account and require reverifivation, it takes time but the whole system is fair and unbiased. You missed out on the Italian drama from a few weeks ago... Such fun.
