The Globetrotters ban has sparked a lot interest in this site, and this could be the right timing for the emergence of a tournament and/or super bout series. Even if there were belt checker validated events throughout the year that would be willing to host regional qualifiers to a year end world championship could give rise to something great. Our MMA promotion company promotes a yearly pro grappling show called mat mania (in TN near the borders of VA, NC, KY, while Justin Decker holds regular Sirius grappling events in the coastal Carolinas. We would both open and excited to hold these types of grass roots qualifiers in our region, and I’m sure others like us throughout the would be as well. With enough minds put together, a truly organic would championship alternative could be created.
