I think this one would actually be rather important AND doable within GDPR - if someone deletes their profile, then they will get changed in forum into a (ideally Deleted at DATE) anonymous profile.

I think in people should be able to delete all data they've added to the site with one click. Very likely they won't manually go delete all their posts before they delete their profile. So if their forum posts stay when their profile is deleted, then they can't login and delete those posts after = I will be getting a lot of emails the next 10-20 years from people who want their posts off Google (I know this because I have been running a Danish martial arts forum since 2001 and still get occasional emails from people asking me to delete old stuff).

When we create a forum thread, the person who created should be granted moderator rights for that thread. Is that a doable?

You already have moderator access to the posts you make yourself, but not to the replies that other people post. I don't think that would make a lot of sense :)

No, I don't think it would make a lot of sense to give them that
Ok was only asking because some comments can violate the be nice rule. Thanks for responding.

Then you just need to inform a moderator, it's their job to moderate, not the users :)

No I mean if their posts will be changed to anonymous? Can they ask for those to be deleted?
If you quote them, those quotes remain. (Of course the forum quote function is crap tho :D)

Yes but I have to think scaling. If we hit a few 100k users and people have to manually ask me to manually delete stuff, then I'll be flooded. I've lived with that on the other site with a much smaller user base for too long haha

There's one button that promise to delete profile and all data, so that must include all posts, votes, comments etc. you've made on the site. Some people are very serious about cleaning out their entire foot print and we must respect that.
