Hi,
I set it straight and clear.
I ve enough!
Gardening, painting, calling and texting, watching movies, riding bike walking the dog, making love, getting upset about America’s Clown ... all that.

I want to fight , roll , scramble how ever you want to call it. I ll take our super hard warm up from our Russian couch on a daily basis I don’t care ( believe me an hour warm up with him is as heavy as it gets at any special forces army and you don’t want to do that more than once or twice a week ) I would take that no problem but just Let me fight.
I know many of you guys play Jiu-Jitsu and maybe some roll light etc.
I’m in for the pure joy of winning or loosing a fight.
I ride home and think about what I did wrong and what I could do better. Sometimes I did let win somebody to easy or sometimes I was going to hard and it was not necessary But I come home smiling and I even do my night wee wee, as I’m older and mostly have to go for one leak in the middle oft the night , with some pain here and there and I like that. I like those aching joints and the exhausted body after the gym.
My Gi’s are so fu#*’ing clean and dry. What’s up with that ?
I do not want to wait and wait and the thought of Jiu jitsu is the closest you can get to a stranger besides making love just drives me crazy.Cause I see how easy we could spread it Catch the 19.
In our gym every time there is someone from abroad, someone coming back from a travel and I just don’t see it very smart to start classes in a short time.
I’m bored.
Very bored and I’m finished with that lame waiting.
I started do jiu jitsu because I want to do it not look at it and talk about it.
I guess you get me but can you hear me and help me ?

I realised I created an environment for my self that I like to exercise in and then I built my habits around that. And now that it's blocked, it's super hard for me to keep physically active :(

So true.
As I’m not skating so much anymore the weekly scheduled was so so good.

I must admit,

Up until this point, other than reduced exercise, I have hardly missed it.

Over the past six weeks, I watched two grappling matches online,

And reviewed two techniques a beltchecker friend sent me to look at.

I have my kids drill a move or two, daily, but I restricted their live grappling, to reduce the chances of a visit to a COVID19 infected Emergency Room.

But they are too small for me to grapple or drill with really.

I have enjoyed eating, drinking, doing other things with the kids, etc. and the break from grappling practices.

But, as of yesterday and today, I must admit, I am looking forward to this vacation from grappling practice being over.

I did not really find the idea of viewing instructionals when I could not practice the moves appealing, previously,

But, I might start to do so, now.

I realized a long time ago that it was the only fun form of exercise left in my life. It's the best game in the world! My knees are blown so standing games are out of the question. Everything else is just exercise for the sake of keeping fit and that's boring as hell. I miss rolling so much :( Fuck Covid-19.

Im excersizing keeping my body fit. But for me jiu jitsu is a mental game. I dont have the patience to read a book or do actual chess. Im staying healthy but missing out on the fun and strategizing of rolling.
I dont like watching instructionals now, it makes me miss the mats more.

We've reached the point where, after 15 years together, my girl urged me to buy mats so she could finally learn that "jiujitsu shit" I've doing since forever.

Call it quality quarantaine time, or relationship therapy or whatnot.

I spent this afternoon watching my 7 & 3 year olds blast double and o soto gari each other across the mat.

Manly tears were shed.

I'm lucky!! I have a home gym and
I have two sons to roll with regularly.
I watch instructionals, I drill and get to roll with my favourite two humans. Best part is they are both my size. Plus I have a grappling dummy. I miss training with everyone at the club though. Not gonna lie.

I'm not gonna lie..I've been training jits regularly with my sons..and doing full body strength & conditioning workouts 4 days a week along with 1 day of cardio training.

I am lifting 30% more in my deadlifts than I was a month ago..without putting on or losing weight... I will be coming back to my club..in a lot better shape than I left it..and I will be smashing all the lads that could not train during lockdown that used to smash me before lockdown..for about a week or two.. then they will get up to speed..and will plan to exact revenge on me.. but before tbey can I'm gonna then retire whilst on top..lol thats a plan !

Of all the things that could have happened during an apocalypse, my friend and teacher Octavio Couto got stuck at my place. So we are training daily and having facebook live streamings with our friends. Rolling I'm not missing at all, one hour every day with a genius, and sure it helps to keep the mind calm. But I feel like I'm in a bad place with my mind regardlessly as I don't trust the narrative of this pandemic, I don't believe the proper solutions are being taken, and I feel like essential freedoms have been taken away with close to no reason. Not to mention children locked into apartments for weeks and so on.
I feel like most of the decisions are not based on efficiency in long-middle-long run but just for showing "oh look what I'm willfull to (make you) do to signal everyone that I'm careful!". Just as an example, my office "strongly suggest" to wear masks while travelling between areas, you're free not to wear it at your desk, DON'T QUESTION THE FACT THAT THE AC RUNS THE SAME IN THE WHOLE BUILDING. Is these things that push my sanity.

Haha, amazing luck! I try to attend Couto's "clinics" whenever he's in Finland.. some his concepts are mind-bending stuff.

What would be best Couto's videos to start from (Youtube and others) to get the taste? Have never looked at anything by him, only heard good things.

I don't want to hijack the thread.
I'm confused now... Isn't this what we do all day here in Beltchecker forums?

I'll write you a message, I don't want to hijack the thread.
But that’s exactly what I wished for. Good alternatives that can be done and not just talked about.
Super positive about your links and offer. Keep em coming

I am lucky. I have a 4 year old son who started BJJ in Jan. So far I have kept mainly to practicing my knee on belly attacks on him again and again and again.

I don't mind not rolling. Despite training BJJ since 2006, rolling has never been my favourite part. I'm much more interested in digging into technique and at this point, testing out different way of teaching is far more interesting to me than a typical roll (as opposed to a really cool roll, like with a friendly black belt my size, that's always awesome).

So lockdown (with the obvious proviso that people are dying, which means we all want this pandemic to be over as soon as possible) has actually been awesome for me thus far. Of course there are the financial worries, as I can't run my usual classes, but I'm still able to do the thing I most enjoy in BJJ (digging into technique) as I still teach online via Zoom. Membership fees are still coming in.

I've also been playing a ridiculous amount of DnD (which I think I prefer to BJJ, all things considered :D ), generally every day, sometimes twice. I don't like going outside anyway. :P

That’s cool. You wait for the right size black belt and I ll fight a right size blue belt and we both enjoy our approach to the sport and art form. As long as our white or psychedelic warrior coloured Gi gets soaking wet and we fall asleep like a baby afterwards.

(First when I saw you in your Gi s in Heidelberg I was irritated but shortly after I fall in love with them. Now that we are connected on insta I fancy them all )
