Yay, love tattoos! Another general tattoo thread here: https://beltchecker.com/f[...]e637c1b687
In terms of my BJJ tattoos, main one is a dragon curling around my left ankle and extending out onto the instep, where the tail turns into a BJJ belt. I've been getting additions to that with each new belt, so latest one was adding some legs after I got my brown belt a couple of years ago. I'm going to get a touch-up in June (assuming my tattooist is open, she reckons she should be), refresh the colours and sharpen up the lines. She also didn't get to finish the legs properly last time, so will refine those too. :)
You can see the dragon's tail here: https://www.instagram.com[...]QtgV1p3SG/
The right foot also has an element of BJJ via circuitous visual pun, though it's not a specific BJJ tattoo overall. It's a female knight figure, specifically Laurana from the old cover for 'War of the Twins'. My version has her with butterfly wings, so as she's sort of a guard (as in, military guard protecting something), therefore butterfly guard. Especially as it's on my instep, which is what I make a butterfly hook with. ;)

Mine, I've done it in July in my last visit to my friends of Checkmat Natal, in Brazil you've got really good artists an tattoos are so cheap, this was the equivalent of 100 bucks!

Ha: ALL Gracie Barra black belts? I know GB has a strict uniform policy, but that's taking it to a whole other level. :P

Considered getting belts tattooed on my fingers working up from pinky to thumb.
Bit of symbolism: The more belts earned the more "useful" my grip is. With the black belt thumb completing the grip (opposable thumbs are the reason humans are good at stuff apparently). But I've been told that finger and hand tattoos wear badly and don't last long, nearly had a wedding ring tattoo but was talked out of it...
Not to mention you're a criminal if you have hand tattoos

nearly had a wedding ring tattoo but was talked of off it...
I have one. Very good decision. To make it last took 2 times doing it over.

You are right friend, if it wasn't that it is a cover, underneath I have another one and the tattoo artist did what he could with a not really beautiful result
