BJJ Camp in New Zealand?

Hi all,
I'm a coach at Overwhelm MMA in Western Australia.
I've run a couple of successful BJJ camps with my crew in Phuket, training at Phuket Top Team. We took 10-12 members across to Phuket, stayed for a week and trained twice a day.
I'm looking to change it up and do a camp in New Zealand in 2021 / 2022 or once we can travel again.
As I've never been to NZ I'm looking for someone that can help me some local knowledge while I'm in the planning stages and hopefully to catch up and have a roll when we arrive :)
I though a forum post would be better than just sending PMs to every NZ black belt ;)

Well there are multiple high level black belts in NZ, I would love to put my hand up but I wouldn't be able to offer much.
If your looking for stuff to do outside of training I recommend either Auckland or Wellington with a preference to Wellington. Auckland is... Well Auckland, I had to spend a lot of time here when I worked for a technology company and it put me off however. GroundControl is the string of gyms I started under and Auckland is where it started. Run by Mike Fooks with a team of awesome instructors.

You could try talking to either Thomas

Or Matt

As I don't believe Mike is on here.
And my preference of place Wellington, heaps of stuff to do outside of training with great places to eat and visit. GSW is the place is recommend run by Geoff Grant, a character to say the least, he is one of the highest graded instructors in NZ under John Will.

South Island... I would have to say Christchurch, not heaps to do but plenty of gyms, Axis is the biggest and has multiple locations, they were awesome when I visited earlier in the year.
Who knows by 2021/2022 I may have a gym in Mosgiel near Dunedin, you would be more than welcome but like I said I may still not have much to offer. There are other gyms in Dunedin also with plenty to do, again there are some great places to eat and what-not with some cool locations like beaches not far away.
My recommendations/ 2 cents. Both GroundControl and GSW are within my affiliation so I can guarantee their awesomeness. Let me know where you end up and I'll try to get there to!
All are kind of the 'capitals' (apart from Mosgiel) I suppose but let me know if you want to know about people in and around the Waikato, that's where I grew up and there are lots of great gyms there including, I'm pretty sure, the biggest mma gym in NZ.

Sport / gi would be the preference.
A mat tour or bouncing between a couple of gyms sounds like it might be our best bet :)
I'll definitely check out DS Team, thanks!
