If there are any other music geeks on here who are feeling as bored as I am, this has been an entertaining distraction since I found it yesterday:

That's a snippet review for every single no.1 single in the UK, starting from Al Martino way back on 14th November 1952. Be warned, you're going to need a long attention span, but I'm enjoying discovering the most popular tracks in the UK from almost 70 years ago.
Naturally I've been making a Spotify playlist as I read through the archive, only up to 1955 so far. I will almost certainly stop at some point in the '90s (I don't normally listen to anything much past 1993), maaaaybe make it to 2002 for nostalgia's sake (as that would be the ultimate cut off for any kind of chart nostalgia, it was my last year of undergrad).

It would be cool to see a US equivalent. I would imagine given the vastness of the internet, there probably is one. ;)
