No, I think those in-between belts are kind of stupid to be honest haha

Hi.
A kid has to wait till he's 16 uears old to get the blue belt.
So, my idea is to give 4 main colors to represent the 4 stripes on an adult white belt.
1 stripe = yellow for kids
2 stripes = orange for kids
3 stripes = green for kids
4 stripes = white-blue for kids
And each color for the kids belts can have their own 4 stripes...
So... there will be 16 intermediate graduations before the blue belt for the kids.
Thank you.

Apologize if it sounded wrong, this site is a one-man show and I'm not feeling too much pressure to be anything but myself haha :D Let me try to explain in another way:
1) It's always been four belts for kids with four stripes on each = 16 promotions. The new gray belt and new in-between belts were introduced relatively recently by IBJJF pretty much just for business and motivation reasons for kids. At the time, I was teaching fairly serious kids' competition team, and we all agreed that it seemed pretty silly to do 52 (!!) promotions for kids. So from a personal point-of-view, I've always found those extra belts to be kind of unnecessary.
2) And here, maybe a better and less personal explanation: From a technical point of view, it's a bit of a mess to have these in-between belts. If I treat them all as separate belts in the system (yellow with white stripe being a completely separate belt from full yellow belt, etc.) then that's 12 separate belts to keep track of. If I put them together and treat them as one, in terms of database records, this would be a real mess. When I want to do for instance statistics per belt, this would either mean our lists would be super long with 12 kids belts or it would be pretty complicated to put every 3 belt records together and do calculations with them across other database tables.
Long story short: I think they're silly both from a personal and technical standpoint, so I ultimately decided to ignore them for this project. In IBJJF ruleset they also say that it is up to each individual instructor/academy etc to decide if they want to use the in-between belts or not. So even though I don't believe in the authority of IBJJF, I use their rules here anyway to justify my decision :D

Excellent answer @Christian! I've been struggling with how to run belts for our new kids program. This is helpful!

Also kids belts are often inconsistent at different schools, and then at tournaments it's crazy. I have sometimes seen kids at the same tournament for four years, still wearing a gray belt. I have seen kids who have like an orange at their gym, but aren't the right age, so they go down to yellow for an IBJJF. At grappling tournaments like NAGA where it isn't just BJJ, I have seen kids camo belts, purple-black belts, no belts.
At our school, we do the in-between belts, but we don't do any stripes. You don't really know when you're going to get a new belt (there's not a special promotion day like at some schools), but for the kids who train regularly, it seems like the belts come about once a year. Sometimes if a kid has been working hard and sitting at a belt for a while, the coaches will skip one. For example I never had a gray-black.
When I did my profile here, I just made my gray-white and gray count as 'gray' and my yellow-white and yellow count as 'yellow'. Even if I get promoted to orange-black I would just leave it on orange until green.

@frank that system makes sense, but don’t you find that 15 year old orange and green belts tend to be significantly better than two and three stripe white belt adults? By that time those kids often have 5-10 years of experience.
