anything thats overly cool has chances of getting the prefix 'ninja'

which has led to several things being called ninja choke and has spaned some confusion...

Ok i'm talking about the choke that is basically a front-facing RNC / d'arce without the arm.

ah that one, i always called it inverted mata leao cause back in like 2014 or so i didnt know any name for it and it just felt alot like a inverted mata leao
(never liked rnc, always sounded kinda gay... lol)

well its often a counter while they pass your guard or generally unexpected by many
so probably thats why it ended up with that name
those things that make you tap and think wtf are the most likely ones to be called ninja

i would suggest that is becasue a ninja would usually kill you in your sleep without you noticing...

but besides that i think often its just a lack of imagination so people just go with anything that sounds cool

Wild guess for the Ninja Choke : someone nicknamed "Ninja" started using it and it caught on.
