I'm on a roll these days :D

Just finished first version of an instructional video library for Beltchecker. If you're an instructor with instructional videos hosted on YouTube, you can add them to your profile here. They'll be listed both on your profile and on our general instructional videos page, where people can search by title, category and instructor. I also added a simple up/downvote feature and the most liked videos will be displayed more often / more towards the top.

Check out the instructional library on https://beltchecker.com/i[...]videos.php

If you want to add some videos, just go to "edit profile" on your own profile and add them like you'd usually add videos!

Great stuff :) I re-linked my videos from my profile to Instructionals section. Any other plans with that?

We'll see how it evolves once it is populated with some more content over time :)

It already has way more videos than I had access to when I started Jiu jitsu :D

Seriously - how much would be enough?

I have no idea, but the functionality has only existed for 1 day so far, so let's give it some time and see what ideas pop up down the road. For now, I just think it's a nice little additions for instructors to showcase their work on their profiles here and get noticed more :)

Do you also collect viewing stats in Beltchecker? I mean likes is one thing but to know how many people use the feature overall?

No, since there is no pages for single videos (they play directly on the profile/search pages), then I can't really collect viewing stats on them.

What about being able to tag the videos to the academy

I don't think that instructional videos necessarily will be related to an academy entry, more than it will be related to any other thing.

Here's my reasoning behind that is that I'll routinely do technique videos for my instructor I'll be videoing them. So being able to tag the Academy so that other members of the Academy can look up the new technologies Would be an advantage when searching for updated videos just my 2 cents

They can just search for the instructor instead? :)

No, just anyone who has something to teach :)
Ohh .. I see it now, thank you. I was looking for a new field within the existing interface for linking videos with YouTube :)

Btw, why do you ignore 50 % of the human body? Would it be possible to add categories such as saddle, 50/50, etc.?

Nah, I think takedowns fit fine in standing category. Want to have as general categories as possible.
