As with medals and competitions, how about make it possible to list up schools, towns and country you have visited and trained at. Maybe also a map that gathers this information, and shows were all the members have been training.
Mark the city at the map, and a list of previous visitors comes, and you can ask for advice, tips ect ect

I like this idea a lot and wouldn´t have any problem to share the places where I trained at during my journey :)

It would be almost like a database and source to gather and seek for information about friendly gyms when you are on the move. Mark the map where you are going and you get the names of others that have been there.

Sounds cool! I don't travel to schools that much these days, as I get all my seminar/BJJ travelling needs from camps now. But I used to travel to schools a lot (particularly friends in the US, plus some in Australia), so it would be fun to fill in a map. :D

I do some travel with work, and some on holidays and weekend trips. I love bringing my gi and visit academy's. Normally I ask or search on Facebook to get in touch with people. This site could be just as effective and maybe make it easier to get in touch around the world

This is not a bad idea. But the database will have to mature a bit first before I would like to build it, so we can do it properly. I need more proper data collection on academies. It's getting on the list :)

Hahaha, it your own fault, you make things so friccin good, so the we expect more. :-)
I dont expect much, all i need is a map over the world, where i can find every town someone has visited. People write in their profile were and when theyve been araound. Some while ago at the create something or members of bjjglobetrotters some guy wrote how awsome it would be to have a database with grading on gyms. So what if you put in the possibiliti to grade gyms, and with more than five ore six gradings at a school then its possible to se either the average score ore every score but not linked up to any of the names. In that way people can be honest without fearing being banned or blacklisted as a visitor at other gyms.
Easy? couple of hours of work :-)

I love this idea. Suggested something similar a while ago in another post also.

Seems like a logical step given that we're a community of traveling Jiujiterrios. I can't wait to start filling that up.

I haven't traveled for training as much as I'd like to. Knoxville, TN, Buffalo, NY, a bunch of places here in North Carolina, Virginia. But this sounds like a great idea. I'd love to see some of the great places people have gone to and the experiences they've had.

I’ve trained I’m at a dozen or so gyms in the US and can’t wait to travel around the world as soon as covid is past! Keep track of all these places somewhere is a good idea, until we can do it on this site I’ll make sure to keep a list.
