Hey guys,
Do any of you have any experience in buying gis in bulk for resale?
I'm looking for suggestions, tips, recommendations, and horror stories.
Thanks.

You mean custom productions or just buying a large order from an established brand?

I bought a bunch from a factory in Pakistan once, as I was curious about cutting out the middleman. Turned out relatively well and I certainly couldn't argue with the price, but it was a very small bulk order (7 gi), purely to get some cheap equipment for my students. I've got zero interest in reselling.
But yeah, Christian has waaaaaaay more experience on this topic than probably anybody else on this site (though I guess there are people like John Ouano on here, which is cool :D ).

Have bulk ordered custom Gi's for years. Have been happy with the quality. Go with a source that is recommended to you and always place a small order to begin with. Be very clear on design and expectations.

Thanks for your reply guys.
Ideally, I would like to find a wholesaler or manufacture to buy small quantities to sell at my club and the other local clubs in my prefecture.
Gis and Belts are damn expensive in rural Japan and can be a bit of a burden for new practitioners.

The guy I dealt with was Husnain from Spotex International, via Ali Baba initially. They made some minor errors on the patches (angled them wrong), but apart from that small complaint, I was pleased. Especially at that price, worked out good and cheap.
