All right, I know probably like half of y'all are back on lockdown right now, so why not give yourself just one more excuse to drink some (more) booze?

Introducing "Never Have I Ever (BJJ Version)".

If you're not familiar with this game, it's easy: think of up to 5 things (just to keep it short and less drunk) you have never done, relating to BJJ, that you feel that some/most other people have done. If you're reading this and you HAVE done these things, that means you have to drink. Obviously the less experienced you are, the more sober you will be by the end of it. I've been at this for almost 17 years now, so I'm finna be lit by the end of this thread.

Here's my 5...

Never have I ever:
1) Owned a Shoyoroll gi
2) Paid for a belt test
3) Lost a BJJ match (lol jk, I'll go ahead and drink for that one)
4) Rolled with a coral belt (or higher rank)
5) Visited Brazil

All right, let's see what y'all got... *pops tab on fresh can of White Claw*

Haha, got 2 drinks off your list (Shoyroll/Brazil) — and it's morning here & I'm supposed to work!

Never have I ever:
1) Had a surgery
2) Gotten a stripe on my belt
3) Used CBD oil
4) Had ringworm
5) Sewn a patch to my gi (okay, I've made others do it for me...)

Cheers!

Well first off I'm not a drinker and think they would not like it if I did it at work. But I'll play the game.

Never have I ever.

1. Submitted higher rank (many times)
2. Been submitted by a lower rank (he didn't know what he did)
3. Rolled to hard
4. Went to class sick
5. Treated fellow BJJ team mate for injury during class.

From Robert's - SAME = 4/4. = one drink for "Having lost in BJJ"
From Tatu's 3/5 (no stripes, no CBD, no ringworm but I HAVE gotten surgery and sewn a patch)
Deepu and Josh - both ZERO :D = FIVE drinks from both as I have done ALL of those things.

Never have I ever:
1) Had a coach who's more than +2 belt colours from me. (as a WB blue coaches, as a blue other blues, as purple purple and brown and black).
2) Bought physical BJJ-related media (VHS, DVD)
3) Lined up for the start of the class by belt rank in my gym.
4) Done pushups and/or situps for warmup.
5) Owned a Tatami gi.

Still good ones coming!

From Benny's, I have not puked doing sports ever, and not sure if my way of tying the belt is fancy... If tucking the end of the belt into the knot once counts as fancy, then it's 4/5 for me... (Saving a few for the weekend!)

I think there was a time back when ALL Finnish BJJ gyms did the jog, pushups, situps (and a lot of other pointless crap) as warmups :D

From Benny
I have attended a Globetrotters camp
I have traveled to compete

From Francesce
I have put people to sleep intentionally - once in competition, once in training and twice as have been challenged that "these chokes don't work on me".
I have been submitted by female grapplers so many times I've lost count.

Also what the hell you HAVE taught at a GT camp ion Poland - there's a VIDEO of it :D

Indeed. I believe this was the old Alliance comp class structure, and got adopted widely here because that's where our country's first (visiting) instructors came from.

Half an hour of gruelling S&C warm-up, half an hour of technique + half an hour of hard sparring. A lot of the gyms here still do precisely this.

We, ungrateful and disrespectful Estonian whitebelt snobs were frowning at that and pretending to take part but at the same time not really, since 2004. :D

Exactly what us Finnish purple belts do in 2020!
You guys have been pioneers in more fields that I've realized.

Hey how I know the game, I state five things for which I drink and let’s see who else drunk with me. It’s about seeing who has most experiences AND getting drunk. I drink for all five of my points.

I think this is the same as why most drinking games simply don't work in Finland... they are designed in a way that drinking is a punishment, but everybody wants to drink as much as possible. :D
