Do any of you have onsite BJJ gyms at your work?

I work for an oil and gas company and we have an onsite BJJ class at work in our Fitness Center in our Houston Location. I believe there are 2-3 black belts who teach it. I go every time the Oklahoma office sends me down south.

I wish that sort of thing would be approved in the offices here in Oklahoma but I don't see that ever happening!

No mat space unfortunately. I do have a black belt sitting a few desks from me so that would be awesome... :)

But really happy to have at least a sufficient weight room in which I can do my lifts during a lunch break a few times a week.

(And this year due covid, I have been working from home office most of the time anyway.)

When I was in the military back in the day we would roll on the carpet at work. good times.

I work in a government / police building. We have a gym at work with weights / cardio machines and the room next to the gym is empty. Some of us were talking about putting mats in the empty room so we could have open mats and on-site classes.

Alas, then SARS-CoV-2 happened and most people are working from home now. Hopefully we can revisit it when we're all vaccinated.

Heck yeah,

Weight room is better than nothing for sure! I need to start making time during lunch for my company's weight room. I tend to go after work, but lunch time would save me some time at night.

I work at a relatively large tech company but we don't even have a weight room. When I see Google having onsite BJJ classes I'm a bit envious.

Working on establishing an "open mat" session twice a month in addition to assigned training days at my dept. We have roll-out Dollamur mats at the main headquarters and one of our substations. It takes time to create that culture though but I'm hoping we're on our way. I love hearing about companies/departments that encourage jiu-jitsu training.
