We have a little end-of-season class this week to mark the last official training of the year before the holidays. I usually try to make it a bit of a special evening with some fun games and would love to see if some of you have some good ideas. I have invested in a Santa Claus costume and plan to put on boxing gloves and punch all my students in the face while they try to clinch and take me down, ho ho ho. But if you have any other ideas I can do as well, post them here!!

I like when we play "sumo" - make a ring with some tape on the mat if you don't already have one, have two people try to push or throw each other out. Do it King of the Hill style where one person keeps going or pick people about the same size to go together.

This is not holiday related but one game I've played with both kids and adults is everyone gets a pair of socks, I usually buy just some cheap ankle socks for everyone, but you could also tell everyone to bring some.

And, it is a full grappling battle royal with the winner being the last person that still has at least one sock on. People quickly learn how exposed their ankles are when playing their game and also when you've been using leg locks to expose that the person's ankle to remove their sock.
