Help with Black belt promotion

Hey my fellow bjj people,
I've been training 18 years now
and had my black belt for 7 years
but I'm only a first degree and I'm not registered with the IBJJF.
So my dilemma is this!
I left my association last year and I haven't joined any other team.
I have brown belts that need upgrading to black belt but as I'm not a 2nd degree black belt yet I was wondering if this is possible to do and there rank still be recognised.
I'd be grateful for any advice as I've never had to deal with anything like this before.

You can claim your second degree on Beltchecker based on time served, just like you can with IBJJF (if you were registered there).
