So was in the first class that introduced the new rule set for IBJJF a couple weeks back, i recorded the entire thing if anyone wants to check it out, let me know.

The biggest thing and it was argued in the chat (was the online course), was for the heel hooks/knee reaping that it's ONLY allowed in the adult division. This is bullshit as it should be across the board in Masters! Everyone in this group was masters divisions, cause we all were arguing it during the questions. I'm on the higher end of the masters divisions, and the fact i've been doing this for 23 years and i can't do heel hooks or reap is garbage.

I took the course in November, when were these rule amendments added?
They stated this was the first class where the new additions were being taught, took two weeks ago

I'm not a brown or black belt clearly. But every small local tournament I've gone to for the last few years has basically anyone who has trained for 3 years plus, doing heelhooks. I can go do a nogi absolute at Grappling Industries, and a whitebelt can try to rip my knee in half for a 5 dollar medal. Seems odd that a brown belt isn't allowed to at say Masters Worlds.
