Who would be your top three picks for the all time (up to 2020) greatest BJJ grapplers?
It's hard to pick especially since we have so many who have done amazing things.

Here are my picks.
1. Roger Gracie
2. Marcelo Garcia
3. Buchecha

I find a more entertaining question, who was the greatest BJJ man of their generation?

Georgie Gracie
Carlson Gracie
Rolls Gracie
Rickson Gracie

Continue that list on, if you like.

For me, Sergio Penha, Wallid, Sakuraba, as well.

But what do I know...

Leading all the way down to Gordon Ryan of today.

Hmmm just BJJ as a whole I’m guessing, not gi grappling.

Helio (Oswaldo again if not going by popularity)-Carlson-Rickson (replace with Rolls if not also going by popularity)-Royler/Bustamante-Roger/Marcelo-Glover/Terra-Ryan/Lo/Tonin

Sperry and Bustamante were absolute beasts and probably still are.
Ricardo Liborio is another name that comes to mind when you think of the greats.
That whole stable was on another level.

What about most entertaining to watch? I’d have to say Glover is up there with stuff he would try. Fun match to watch was him vs Terra in Metamoris. Love watching two people go at it but also have fun.

Yeah Jeff Glover always puts on a show and his skills are money for sure.
Caio Terra is amazing to watch on sheer movement alone. He has an amazing game.
Jacare was really exciting to see on and Terere too.
I hate watching snooze fest matches even though they are being very technical and playing smart.

Agree and a lot of the old school players, myself included are basic and positional. I don’t give up position unless I have a clean shot at something else. Not overly fun to watch by effective.

One of my students always went with flashy, and I’d yell at him to cut it out. Until it started working and people love watching him compete. Gave his black belt a couple months ago.

Any older black belt here would absolutely agree with you lol. My game has changed over the years to compensate injury. I’ve been butterfly guard heavy for a while to guard shoulder injury. Now my SI joints and lower back are shot, so need to evolve again and have been playing top a lot more

I usually just give anyone side control and go from there. Have too much nerve damage in my left leg and the back surgery pretty much sealed my fate. I like playing top and keeping it but sometimes my leg has other plans and I give up the position for comfort. Part of the whole deal and most guys would just quit. I can't do that.

My picks are...

1. Marcelo Garcia
2. Roger Gracie
3. Andre Galvao

I chose these guys because they consistently excelled in both Gi and Nogi at their weights and in Absolute divisions. They also had very extensive careers.

But my picks for favorites...

1. Marcelo Garcia
2. Andre Galvao
3. Caio Terra

I chose these guys because I love their games!

Rafa Mendes was one of the greatest to ever do it! I'm surprised he hasn't at least got an honorable mention.

I'm biased as he gave me my purple belt, but for me the greatest has got to be Roger, if we're going by verified medals in prestigious comps. Followed by Marcelo and Xande, not sure which order.

Roger Gracie, Jacare, and Marcelo Garcia are my picks for greatest of all time, with honorable mention to Xandre, Buchecha, Rafa Mendez, Terrere, and Cobrinha. The guys that shaped my game most are Braulio Estima, Roger Gracie, Xandre, and Rolletta. LOL and of course my instructor Cassio Werneck.
