In an attempt to avoid the forum getting flooded with new topics every time someone has written a new blog post, I suggest we use this single one instead.
Feel free to post your blog posts here, but remember that the usual forum rules apply as always :)

Well if you're going to make the invitation, I'll stick up the big history of BJJ one from my blog. ;)

Also reminds me to update it with the info from Worth Defending. :D

I remember reading your blog when I was a white belt a decade ago, alongside another one (Aesopian?). Great memories, going to trawl through it for the nostalgia haha.

Ha, cool! And yeah, Matt Kirtley's blog is brilliant, though I'm not sure he is quite as active these days. His posts on Bullshido are one of the things that inspired me to train BJJ in the first place. I see him occasionally pop up on r/bjj and Facebook (I think he's one of the r/bjj mods, under his Aesopian handle?).
I used to spend a good chunk of most days reading loads of blogs via Google Reader, I'm still sad they canned that. So useful for RSS feeds! I've totally fallen out of the habit now, though it's nice how I've gotten to know a number of the people whose blogs I used to read, meaning I just chat with them on Facebook instead. ;)

I miss some of the old blogs, but without a good RSS reader I don't have a great way to keep up with them anymore.

Exactly. Google has a habit of killing useful apps etc, which is one of the more annoying things about them: Google Reader is sorely missed. But meh, it has forced me to get to know the actual bloggers better (mostly through Facebook). Speaking of which, it's been cool interacting with you on here more, given you're one of my favourite bloggers from back when I used to read them regularly. Plus I've gotten to know other more recent bloggers better thanks to Beltchecker, most notably Bridget. :D

I guess this is the point where I drop a link and just ask folks not to hate me too much for buying black belts as part of my effort to compare a ton of belts like Seymour used to:

In another example of both the BJJ community being small and the internet being amazing for introverts to socialise, it's cool that several years after first reading your blog a lot, I have since gotten to know your instructor Mike V quite well. Largely due to BJJ Globetrotters camps and a LOT of Facebook messaging (he's one of the most active people in my various group chats. I have ridiculous amounts of groupchats, a habit that has proven to be extremely useful during all these lockdowns ;) ).

Not so much a blog, but I have an Instagram account @Blue_Jits that promotes jiu jitsu for police. I try to keep a lot of new content on there . Please check it out!

Let's not forget Beltchecker's own blog! :) https://blog.beltchecker.com/
Ooo, indeed! That reminds me, I often forget about the BJJ Globetrotters blogs. Loved Sabine's posts especially, like this one about possibly my favourite camp of all time (it might be beaten by Winter Camp 2019, but only adjust): https://www.bjjglobetrott[...]many-2019/
