An investigation into the injury profile of adult females in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ)
Hello everyone, I hope you're all safe!
I’m based in the UK and currently doing a scientific, survey study profiling female injuries in BJJ, as part of a university degree. it's an area massively lacking research. The hope is that the research can support in future exercise programmes to prevent injuries.
It would be amazing to get a global response for this research!. If you're an adult female, aged 18+ with at least 6 months training in BJJ, it would be amazing if you could help with better understanding female injuries in BJJ, by taking part
All you need to do is a survey, it will take 5-10 mins, depending on if you've had any injuries and how many.
Here is the link hosted by Google Forms - https://forms.gle/rfd5hSLCJHuxxewB8
(Gents, please pass this on to any females training partners you have, it would be a massive help, thanks!)
Thanks in advance!
Paul

I have posted this to the Women's Grappling Network group on Facebook for you (10.8K members).
EDIT: I took the survey as well, but my injury was pretty mild. I pulled an abdominal muscle at my very first class (for real).
I've had some close calls with my wrists while sparring with the bigger guys, but so far nothing worse than bruises.

Got a lady in the WGN who tried to complete the survey. It didn't work for her and the e-mail address on the survey (the first one, with the numbers) also doesn't work.
The survey worked for me though, not sure what's up.

Hi Bridget
Oh wow, that's amazing , thank you so much! I'm getting a great response from the US and it's still so early.

Thanks for letting me know. So far, it's the only issue I'm aware of. Perhaps the hosting website was playing up momentarily. Perhaps ask her to try again later, hopefully it will work ok.
