Not always, but I do especially if I don't feel there isn't sufficient photo evidence on their profile.

Yes I look at anything they post on their profile. If they have tons of photos on their social media but can't be bothered to post them here I keep on scrolling.

I asked because yesterday someone’s website was an add for coffee. Thought I’d look more often to see what weird things I might come across.

Does anyone actually look at people’s website when verifying profiles?

I look at their Instagram if there isn’t enough posted photo evidence. I’ll also look up the promoting instructor if I’m not familiar with them

I don't, but then I don't vote for people I've never met anyway, so it's not really an issue for me.

I check out their Facebook and Instagram. Sometimes people don't complete their profile quick and I try to give them the benefit of the doubt in terms of trying to help them out etc etc... Especially since it doesn't seem to be that folks get certs anymore for lower belts, so photos videos etc seem to be the best way to verify.

You have my stamp of approval. After I saw the add I was a little disappointed that my website was just my JJGF profile. I really missed an opportunity there.

How bad is it the first thought in my head when I saw them flexing and wrestling etc was "Man, they are totally not protecting their arms and wrists!"

I really hope they do because many of that know about me and my BJJ journey are not signed up and I have not been able to convince them yet. I feel like there should be a way to request for your profile to be evaluated by a group of verified people instead of happening organically or via people that you personally know.

Just my two cents...

This has been an advertisement for me beltchecker profile... come evaluate mine hahaha

I think just being active is all it really takes. If you just create a profile and then disappear, verification is going to come slow (unless you’re a well known person).

There is a list of "Profiles needing more votes to verify" on the home page that many of us look at to help those still needing votes.
