Hi everyone. I signed up for this service. Thoughts? Do you like it? What do you use it for? I like the matches and the videos.

I feel that at least in the USA they have a near monopoly on streaming live events. I can’t comment on the price since my friend shared his account with me. They have a lot of content for sure

We use it to record the matches at the bigger events. Cause there is no way I can coach and film at the same time.

I started my subscription for college wrestling. Then a few years ago they lost all the big name schools/tournaments. I still tune in for some of the BJJ shows, but at this point it’s probably not worth the money anymore.

I really like to be able to watch the big IBJJF events. Especially the black belt divisions. Good for research.

Good call about the wrestling, I forget that they do other events.

I wouldn't touch Flo, too much unpleasantness around them (e.g., Hywel Teague and his Red Belt naughtiness, dodgy 'oops, you signed up for a year, what a shame' behaviour, not allowing anybody to even record their own matches, etc). But to each their own, and it is sadly the only way to see a lot of comps, so I can understand why people use it.

Time is an interesting thing, seems a lot of people have forgotten about the Hywel controversy. However, to be fair, I do believe he had good intentions (at least that’s what I want to believe).

I'd like to believe that too. But yeah, quite a few years down the line, he has lost the benefit of the doubt from me.
For those not aware, Hywel is a prominent Flo employee, infamous for sodding off with several grand of crowdfunding, then failing to release even a rough cut of his proposed Red Belt documentary while deflecting (or outright ignoring) any questions.

I am all about trying not to support companies with douche bags or that do douche baggy things. But I'm also a hypocrite because I train BJJ and that history isn't very clean at all.

i use it to break my guys of myself down at the bigger events and look for flaws or weaknesses and tendencies to correct..
I also like to do homework for a big upcoming match especially with a really experienced opponent. It's funny how many tendencies you can see even in your own game..
I also enjoy watching some of the better matches just for shear admiration of the level of skill of some of the competitors it reminds me that there are so many levels to this

Yeah. that's a fair point. I just try to avoid the obvious arseholes (ranging from the nadir with Lloyd Irvin to the unpleasant but not rapey/abusive etc, like Gordon Ryan) and not support them financially.

Now that they bought TrackWrestling unfortunately a lot of schools are going to have to use them.
