Just curious as All I Know to call it is just some Inside Lapel Push Choke and been hitting it a lot lately. I kinda forced it in this video as I didn't want to waste much energy in my first match of the tournament and I normally just use it to trap the arm and set up lapel ezekiels but I didn't feel like he was going to escape.

Started off using the far side lapel for far side shoulder rotation control, then grabbing the near side lapel for near side rotation control and then submission.

****Updated new video link. This one has me doing it 3 times in competition. Imma start trying to do it from closed guard next.

looks like an amassa pao (knead the bread choke) from knee on belly. but what do I know
Awesome thank you, never heard of that before so looking up the videos will give me better details or more ideas from other positions I'm sure.

If anyone else has any other names for stuff like that let me know. The lapel stuff is fun. lol

It appears to be similar in theory to a judo thrust choke, in Judo called Tsukkomi jime - or at least a variation of it.

I'd say quite a bit Professor ;) I've always found it interesting different lineages calling techniques different names etc. I haven't heard of that one before so thank you sir.

Yea I like all the different names so I can youtube all the different variations and setups of the techniques as almost everyone will do something just slightly different or have a slightly different detail.

Brabo Choke In The Gi... Modified? https://www.youtube.com/w[...]kVppak1i0c
I am not using the far side lapel, I grabbed it at the start for control and switched to the near side lapel, not sure if that makes a difference in calling something brabo as I've seen like 20 different submissions just called brabo something so I have no idea

I know this submission as "baseball choke" because you hold the lapel with both hands like you hold a baseball bat. You can hold your own lapel, or the opponent including inside or over the neck. Just type Baseball Choke and you will see lots of variations.

I'm a big fan of Gi Chokes and this is a new twist that I like. I'm going to "borrow" that if you don't mind ;)
