I've been training at the same gym for about 9 years now. I used to lead the early class.
My wife and I had children later on, she was looking to complete her medical training before having children. As a consequence, I have 2 small girls (5 and 2) now.
My wife is a surgeon, and has expanded her practice to do robotic surgeries. Huge accomplishment, and I'm very very very very proud of her. The problem is that her surgeries start in the early morning. I can't lead my class any longer, because someone has to be home with the girls.
My day care for my girls ends at about 5:30. Often times my wife will have to be at the hospital until after 6pm. After that time we eat dinner and have family time.
My gym does not have noon classes. So... for the first time in a very long time. Life is firmly in the way. I'm effectively blocked from training in the morning and in the evenings.
There is a near by gym, a SBG affiliate, that has a noon class, taught by a legit instructor. They are horrendously expensive. And... I have an issue with the pace that the instructor teaches it. It is MUCH too slow for my tastes, especially for the money.
I know... slow training is better than no training, and individual private lessons/personal training is going to be even more expensive. I'm just complaining. I'm just not going to find a workout like I want it unless I pay for it...

Keep teaching! Take your kids to class with you. Guys at my gym have kids there all the time. Some may think it’s a distraction but I think most will understand your situation.

Talk to your preferred gym and ask if you can start a noon class. It's not always an easy sell but if you know of other students that would like to attend then you can make the case for it.
From a gym owner's perspective, if that time slot is free, and someone who i know will show up on time with a plan, and I could imagine would help grow the program gives me a good pitch, then I'd be all about it.

Sometimes its good to speak things out. It reduces stress :)
Even for me after having two kids, I cant train/teach daily in the morning, only three times a week now. But something is still better than nothing and am trying to make the most of what I have... The most important thing is not giving up..

Stupid question, have you tried just asking some of the guys at your gym if they want to meet up informally outside of the gym? You could pick up some puzzle mats and drill/spar together.
Beyond that, I'd echo what Robert said. If you can offer a class regularly, even if it's not daily, the owner might be in favor of it.

Yeah, that is the problem...
Another aspect of this whole mess is that I just got promoted in to an executive leadership position. Most days I can make it, but I can't lead the class. It has to be someone else, otherwise it isn't fair to the guys coming to train.
Gym owner has obligations at other places, he teaches at karate school and at a local University.

My first gym had training sessions at 19h, 20h, 21h, 22h. Obviously the late ones were not stacked, but there is always the ones who will do it.
People have kids, family, weird shift job. I am pretty sure there will be people who will be joining in the late ones as well.

Right. I think it's rare that someone who isn't the owner to be able to make every class every time. Since I know this, any time someone wants to start a new class at my gym, I require that they get some sort of commitment from at least two other backup people.
Are there at least two others who could commit to being there on the days you can't? Even if you design the lesson plan for them? Even if someone is a beginner they can facilitate a class if they're even half way competent. They'll just need some direction.

Why not schedule an open mat time? This is what we do often - if there is request for a new timeslot, we start it as open mat and when we realise we can offer 100% coverage with a higher belt who can lead the class then we make it into a proper "class".

Good call, I tried this first. Attendance was spotty at best. It is an odd time, and difficult to get going when you have an inconsistent base

Not a stupid question. I have a guy from the gym who I meet up with about once every 2 weeks or so.

What I ended up doing was, quelle surprise, going to the expensive gym. They have a consistent 11 am and 12pm class, and I worked out an ok monthly arrangement as I try and figure out what works for me.
They are happy they get another black belt, I'm glad that someone else is there to do the class, and run the open mat.
MUCH more expensive than I wanted to pay, but... I'm paying for the convivence of it. It is a pure BJJ class... something that doesn't match my style, but I'm not leading the class anymore so... Beggars can't be choosers. Some training is better than no training, even if the training is not my ideal.

Well, you could ask your gym to start a morning class. I go in a 6am because of family commitments and the crew tends to be similarly married with children types or professionals without the time to roll at night.

HA!!! I lead the morning class at my gym for 6 years. My wife has taken on robotic surgeries, more mornings, and I can't go anymore.

Curious: What is "pure" BJJ? And what would be your style to match?
