My coach is thinking about putting a new membrane down on his mats. He tells me he wants to go with white, but I told him that our previous gym went with white and it's hard to clean and eventually goes yellow. In my opinion a nice grey hides all the little curly hairs until they're cleaned after class and generally looks cleaner with less effort. What say you all?

We went white and although it still looks good its only 2 years old and you can see every hair etc. So we're lifting it, using the white on the walls when boarded and replacing the floor with Grey.

Our mat is Grey, everyone like it, easy to clan and didn't change color after almost t'en years of intense using.

We have dark gray mats, super easy to clean, doesn't show any nasty things. Our academy also has a muay thai class and those folks get bloody noses and stuff a lot, so probably not a good look for a white mat.

Black. I would never have light coloured mats if I have a say in the colour, because they are going to get grimy and gross even if you clean them a bunch. There's a black vinyl cover on the mats at my current main venue.
Though saying that, I do love colour. So maybe a really luscious deep purple or something? That could be fun too. :D

I have light grey mats. You can still see everything. I might go a different color. Black probably.
