Yes I just got one. A friend used it after surgery, so it was cold enough to control inflammation. Don't know the exact temp but it is nice and effective. It's not cheap though but hyperice does a 4 payment plan that helps with the upfront cost issue. I can see hyperice adding to their products with shoulder and elbow devices.

I am a big fan of contrast therapy. I am not surprised at all that Vovis has this!!! He always is looking for the cool tech to help with recovery. The temps on this thing by reviews and specs seem good for the contrast therapy. It is stated that it will go 35 degrees for cooling and heating to as high as 113 degrees. it seems to be a more convenient way than switching between ice packs and heating pads, but for the cost.. I will wait. or just "borrow" Marks!!

Actually the documentation say about 30 to 33 degrees, at it coldest, But you can set the temp to your comfort level.

How does it work? You fill it with water it cools? Are you tethered to the wall or is it battery operated?

No water! Battery operated you get about 90 minutes on a charge. 2 to 3 hours for recharge.

What makes this better than bags of ice on towels?
Because it can alternate between ice and heat on the fly. No need to carry ice around with you. Put it on and start it up.
