What to expect with significant weight change?

Has anyone experienced significant weight loss later on in their BJJ journey (purple/brown/black)? What changes did you notice in your training? Did you have to significantly adjust your A-game? Just started hitting my stride in some weight loss and am a brand new brown belt who tends to play more defense/counter (mostly because I'm pretty good at it, added benefit that it's not cardio intensive haha).
Just looking for some insight :) Thanks!

Biggest difference is in how much energy it requires per muscle group to do the same thing if you lose or gain weight.
For example if I do a sweep using my quadricep it requires a higher % of my muscular endurance in that quad on bigger opponents. Me at 215 right now it might require 5% energy against someone 150 pounds, 10% against someone 180 pounds. 20% against 200 pounds. 40% against 225 pounds. 50% against someone 250+ pounds,
So against a bigger guy I have to be very careful on what I try to do or I will wear certain muscle groups out then have to start using different attacks with other muscle groups until the previous recover.
Also the same is true for movement and weight distribution against bigger opponents. It's much easier to maintain your balance against smaller opponents attacking your weight distribution.
And the heavier I get the less damage I take I feel. I've been between 185 and 215 since I started and 215 just feels so much easier than being 190.

I had a period where I was kind of buff (around 93-94 kg at the height) and when I dropped back down to my natural weight (80 kg), I found that my game changes quite a bit. No longer being able to force my opponent into certain positions with strength and weight (boy, that was nice haha), I had to change my strategy to basically be based on setting traps and seeing which ones they stepped into. Still at 80 kg so this is still my game. I basically put out a lot of mines everywhere and see where they might fuck up :D

I got my blue at 250, and was mainly a takedown and top game guy based on years of Judo experience etc. After blue, I dropped down to 165 and really threw myself into closed guard and open guard (I just got smashed for probably 10 months till closed guard started working), and then open guard didn't click with me till like year 4 of 5.5 years at blue.
I've gained some weight back (205) but my guards still work and like Christian I've become very counter striking based due to the new school and new Professor and I've been focusing on traps and setting multiple jeopardies for people as opposed to forcing my way into things.
I've noticed I roll longer and can do 90% of what I could slimmer, but regarding by inverting (which wasn't exactly something I did a ton) is off the table now lol.
I'm leaning out again but at 48 it is taking way longer etc.
