Nickname Rejection

The rule states: "This field is only for names used in daily life"
My nickname "Slim" is the only name my entire gym knows me by. It was the nickname bestowed upon me by Matt Serra 11 years ago on my second day in our academy. It's the only name my entire academy knows me by. I don't even react to my birth name at the academy. My name at the gym truly is Slim as far as I and everyone else is concerned.
Can this rejection be reversed due to these circumstances? The name Slim isn't some "fighter name", or "funny name". It's my serious name that I, and all others go by in the BJJ world.

We mass-reject silly nicknames now and then, and sometimes some of them were actually "serious" - in that case you can just change it back (did it for you). The main thing is that for the interface to work properly everywhere, it looks best if there's a first and last name of every profile. So sometimes a name like "Thomas Jefferson" would have nickname "Tom" where as the nickname should be "Tom Jefferson".
Anyway, you're hereby granted permission to use the name Slim here haha :D ("Slim Mugnai" by any chance??)

Damn I wish I had a cool nickname like "Slim". :D
Conversely, there are multiple Brazilian fighters that actually have my real name as a nickname: Tatu means armadillo in Portuguese. At least all the Brazilians remember my name instantly. Guess I have to learn some curling up techniques...

My old school friends call me Hoss. As in Hoss Cartwright since I am a big man by most people's standards. The nickname was given to me by my high school football coach, my gym just calls me Harley.
