Anyone have this done? How long did you take a break from BJJ? Did you ever reinjure your nose? Please share..
I am scheduled for surgery and am second guessing that decision. They will need to take some cartilage from behind my ear to help rebuild the nose.. Doc said about 6weeks before "contact" sports.

Depends on your game. I'd think twice if you are a half guard player because if all of the cross face passing you'll see. If not, I'd fix my nose. It will likely help your sleep and conditioning. I've had a seriously deviated septum my whole life (it's a family tradition) so I never think of it until a coach will advise us to take a deep cleansing breath through our nose and remember that just can't do that.
On a side note, that's a ballsy nickname

Thanks for the feedback. I do play half guard quite often sooo. Hmm I mean having less than 30% airflow on my left side is a big issue for me.
As far as the nickname, it was given to me by my professor @GabrielGladiator. It is a tough name to live up too, but who am I to argue?!
