I was curious if anyone has done one of these courses, and if so, how was it?

It appears to be the same stuff demonstrated on the old Gracie Jiujitsu episode one DVD, but broken down and explained. I however, have not taken the course.

Intensive course. You will definitely know the material inside out.
Of course you'd have to continue to practice it to keep that muscle memory.
In my honest opinion a bit pricey but it is a ten day course so maybe worth it if you teach for a living or really want to know the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Self Defense curriculum.

I have the master text and every Sunday for two-years a friend from the gym and I would work through it. I have a pretty decent working knowledge of the techniques, but since he moved no one else has been interested in doing it with me.

I didn’t do that specific course, but as my Coach is from the Royce Gracie lineage, we have a lot of Gracie Self Defense covered in my Teacher‘s curriculum.
We train parts of that almost every session, as it is part of the curriculum, like Clinch, takedowns and ground too.

In the Sauer Association, there's a good amount of techniques, etc from the master text. People always ask why my gym bag is so heavy and I pull that beast out.... :D
