Looking for some sticky AF finger tape, I have tried several different brands after my go to went out of business. “The Tap Tape” was the shit.

I’m a fan of Gianni Grippo so I’ve always used Gripp Tape. Does a good job.

Are the special finger tapes actually that much better than the standard white athletic tape? I've never tried anything else.

Fuzz Tape and Monkey Tape have worked well for me.

I love monkey tape. One of the silver linings of Covid is that I don't need to use tape any more. My fingers healed completely

Johnson and Johnson coaches tape. Hard to find, but I swear by it.

Like Jon said. J&J athletic tape is quality and you can buy it in bulk on the internet for ~$60. On an aside, I recommend this Osiander video on how to tape your fingers: https://www.youtube.com/w[...]BPYlGPddYw

I cut my own. I use j&j athletic tape and cut the width I like. Saves a boatload of money

This is what I have always used for BJJ and Judo. It tears cleanly in both directions (strips and across) and sticks well without leaving a gummy residue behind. It’s also good for taping over bandages.

I have tried several cheap tapes out there and finally found Monkey Tape. I love it It stays on for the whole class and comes off clean.
I have also found hockey tape to do the job just fine as well.

Mueller mTape, it's almost identical to the J&J Coach tape, but costs less.

Dunno how it's available in the States, but around here Leukotape Classic (a Swedish brand) is the shit. Stays on when you bandage up correctly, but comes off without residue. Relatively expensive however, typically sold in pharmacies. All the whatever jiujitsu-branded tapes I've tried suck compared to it.

Is Leukotape the same that crossfitters use?

Sorry I have no idea about crossfit :)
But it's the best tape I've tried; you just have to splice it up to finger-width yourself.

I love Rainha Fightwear, especially their tape. Sadly the company recently closed their doors, but fortunately I have an absolute SHITLOAD of their finger tape as I bought in bulk. Hooray!

Power Train Tape (really sticky) and J&J tape. I usually just use whatever I have floating around at the time.
