Always interesting to hear this. My old academy in Copenhagen charged around €50/month for unlimited BJJ, Muay Thai, CrossFit and MMA. The demography was young people early 20s, but it was still a pretty normal price for city where we competed with a lot of non-profit, close to free sports.

I'm currently volunteering to teach in a small non-profit that charges €20/month (goes towards sending kids to competitions, social events, etc.).

$160 for unlimited classes in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Seems pretty average on the price compared to Denver and the other big cities.

Most of our classes are "pay-what-you-want", where you can literally pay whatever you want to train, which is pretty weird for a for-profit organization.

That being said, we offer our students the option of buying a "class pass" punch card, where it comes out to be between $11-$15 per class, depending on how many classes you buy at once, or you can get a standard, unlimited membership for $135/mo.

Kidsclasses €30 per month, for Jiu jitsu and Kickboxing... they can do both 3 times a week. And adults €45 per month, Jiu Jitsu and kickboxing, both every day a week.

Since i've been teaching kidsclasses i haven't been charged.

Personally nothing as I'm one of the (unpaid) instructors, but we charge about €50 / month (if you pay for the full year or a half); train as much as you want across all disciples & gain access to use the facilities during non-class times too. A non-profit major gym in the country's capital.

Travel to a more remote city in Finland and pay maybe half of that. Most gyms away from Helsinki are non-profit with limited schedules and no professional coaches (hobbyist black belts doing it for the love of the sport).

I charge £35 a month for once a week (which includes all classes on the one day you show up), or £50 a month for unlimited. It was a tenner less, but with inflation in the UK going nuts, I had to finally raise my prices for the first time since I founded Artemis BJJ in 2014.

My club charges £45 for 3 x per week. That's the only times he can be open around their day job. He gives Armed Forces discount as there is a large demographic in our area.

On the student membership I pay £55 per month for unlimited classes (3-4x a day 5 days a week, open mats on weekends), which also includes a full gym membership. I believe the non-student equivalent is £85 per month.

My instructor charges $75 (70.39€) per month. He offers 3 classes per week. We don’t have a kids class so my son trains at a different school (same lineage) for $89 (83.50€) per month, their adult class is $115 (108€). That school does offer more classes per week but both schools are priced a little low for the local market.

So I have two academies here in Texas and one thing that I am a firm believer in is to publish our pricing right on the web site. Our pricing is as follows:

First Member
$155 / month

Additional Family Member
$135 / month

Families of 3 or More Members
$350 / month

Before jiu-jitsu I was just working out in a gym and I always felt it was a bit "scammy" when gyms didn't publish their prices like this. It always made me feel like I was buying a used car when they would be like, "Well let's talk first for a while before I tell you the price (Bally's / Gold's / etc.). Anyway, I've found it way easier to just be super transparent about pricing.

$100 CAD a month for unlimited Muay Thai, BJJ, and conditioning class. My wife teaches one of the conditioning classes, so her pay goes to my membership. Sometimes I pay nothing, sometimes $50, never full price. :)

I coach a few classes so don't have to pay. The non-profit membership is about 55 € per month and gets you all the classes you can attend.

When I was still a white belt the price at Alliance affiliated non-profit was 200 euros per 6 months. When I switched to a commercial Brasa affiliated gym the monthly fee was about 47-50 €.

Around 60EUR/month for those only training BJJ. There are cheaper alternatives and in Sweden, we have a quite heavily rooted tradition of contributing to non-profit sports clubs without getting payed, which keeps prices down. Although it's slowly changing, which in some ways can be for the better, although I wouldn't want it to become too commercialised.

I’m changing gyms this month and will go from paying $100/mo to $50 but with less class times so I’ll probably be doing a few drop ins at other places each week so I’m sure I’ll end up spending around $100-120/mo.
