Its a pretty special day for me. After 15yrs I was promoted to Black Belt by my dad Professor Carlos Rojas.
I cant speak to how others would feel in my situation, but the weight of the responsibility associated with the belt seems heavier than it might be for others.

That's a two fold honor.. Congrats.. I know that you being to be given the belt makes you emotional but of course, to be able to give that belt to your child is priceless. NOT many can even understand that type of emotion. Congrats on the black belt

I bet! My little guys is 6 and just got started. I can’t even imagine him sticking it out till black belt and being the one to tie it around his waist. Congrats to you both such a great story, and a wonderful way to bond with a child.
