In my search here, I didn’t see this thread so thought I would start one.
what do you train more often, preferences, pros, cons?
I trained more No Gi during blue belt phase. However, that changed and now I prefer Gi. I train both but always feel more comfortable in the Gi, which I find to be a slower pace roll.

Depends on what I'm prepping for. If I've got a Nogi tournament coming up, I'll focus on Nogi or vice versa. Generally tend to train both equally otherwise.

I started doing Nogi when I first started. I got into Jiu-Jitsu for MMA. Pretty much what everyone did way back when. I didn't put a gi on until much later. Most of my lower belt years even a lot of my black belt years were spent in the gi. These days, I much rather do Nogi. All the gripping of the gi, aggregates my arthritis and tendinitis in my hands, wrists, and elbows. Years and years of ware and tear on my joints.
