Congrats to Trivium frontman Matt Heafy on getting his BJJ Black. Dude's been training a long time from everything I've heard.

That's awesome, good for him. Was actually thinking about him as I was driving back from BJJ on Saturday and Trivium played on my radio.

He's a super nice dude. I trained with him for several years at Gracie Barra North Orlando before moving and I was happy to see him get promoted the other day.

So Mustaine is a brownbelt, Heafy a blackbelt... Maynard from Tool is a purple belt...
What about the hiphop and pop scene? Can't be only metalheads into jiu jitsu...
Do we have a "celebrity BJJ" thread already?

Then we have of course Five Finger Death Punch's Zoltan Bathory, a BJJ & judo black belt. Also actively competes, unlike most celebs who train. Married a Gracie. He's on here too: https://www.beltchecker.c[...]p?id=21361

I did bass and vocals for about 3 weeks in my friends' band at school, before they chucked me out for being incredibly rubbish. That totally counts right? :D

That's still better than me, Can. I took one drum lesson at the end of each my teacher told me that it might not be an instrument for me and that it requires a little bit of talent and a basic sense of rhythm. 🤷

Well I listen to only metal like I'm still 14 and I can't play any instruments and can't carry a tune at all. So there's that.
