Saturday, May 6 I will be coming out of "retirement" to compete again. It's been 8 years since my last tournament. I only did 1 superfight match at purple, and it was just a fun match at a local tournament with a buddy of mine. I'll be competing at the Ontario Open, which is one of the largest tournaments in Canada. I have to say, I'm excited but a little nervous. I was never a great competitor, so I have no illusions of taking home the gold. Of course I will give it my all while hopefully not getting injured. Fortunately I've had my good friend Kyle Sleeman keeping me motivated and giving me lots of advice. When I first started training Muay Thai and BJJ I was 240lbs. Saturday I will be competing in the light weight division. So that's a win for me right there. Wish me luck! :)

Good luck, and remember.. "The only person a competitor is truly competing against is the old version of themselves."

That he is!
Thank. Had my last hard rolling session last night. Takes this old body a few extra days to recover it seems. :)

I don’t know Anthony, but there seems to be enough evidence to verify he’s ready to compete.

Fun fact. When I started training Muay Thai in Sept 2005, and Jiu Jitsu in Jan 2006, I was 240ish lbs. my first gi was a hemmed up A5. My first tourney in 2007 was at heavyweight.
A couple days out and I’m on the dot. Now I just have to stay off the ice cream and beer for a bit longer. Lol
