I feel that the integrity of this site on the long (and short) run will be determined by the investment the users are willing to make in filling out their profiles properly. I am happily disputing anyone who did not fill out information for all their belts and I invite you to join my gang! If we allow sloppy profiles to be verified (often just because the person is famous and receive votes very fast), then we will end up with a sloppy looking site and my OCD can not handle that.

Let's go downvoters, our cause is for the greater good of the community! Dispute votes are of course instantly cancelled the moment the promotion history is fixed.

...and before you ask if checking for full promotion history can be automated; I did of course think a lot about this, but there can be numerous scenarios where someone would skip a belt, go from kids' to adult belts, etc. etc. and the algorithm could fail. It could be a real mess to keep track of once we scale to many thousand users. So I decided that this should be up to the community instead, which is also a much more fun experiment. Will it allow incomplete profiles? Let's see.

Also interested in the experiment. I have mixed feelings, because when I see someone who I know for sure is legit, but who has an incomplete profile (e.g. Steve Austin as Sion, last I checked), I am happy to verify. On the other hand, this whole enterprise (including the stats that I love) works best if people fully participate.

You can of course also just message them. But I think the public dispute vote is more efficient in getting them to fix it quickly :D

There I did it. I am officially a gang member. God forgive me
You shameless joiner.

I am going to reserve disputes for matters where something seems amiss enough to trigger a dispute.

Lol... I must confess I struggled with it. Then I started getting annoyed seeing incomplete profiles that I know are legit. Its a basic requirement on the site. Least they can do
is fulfill the requirement. Not asking for souls or anything, that is unless someones offering.

Wait, can we get souls...?

Is Christian hogging all the souls for himself?

I can’t confirm, nor deny, that I am keeping your souls in the database for all eternity.

You assume that some of us have souls.

Your mistake....

Hey you snobs,

I promoted a 30 year Judo man

who is a 4th / 5th degree in Judo depending on the organization,

to brown belt, after training with me everyday for a few years,

And then after 5 years of training with me every day, to black belt.

Yup, I didn't bother formally promoting him to blue or purple in the intervening years.

And every time he was in my room, I did not ask him to take off his Judo black belt.

Because, i don't care.

If you don't like it, I offer you the raspberry.

Is he registered? Whats his name so I can check his profile out? Maybe Chris can get the Disputed Gang or the Profile Police to investigate. :-p

He has not registered yet.

But I could invite him.

On you, if I do.

He is a couple years older than me,

and not without his own opinions....

He grew up a missionary's kid, in the jungle, literally among cannibals.

I call him Huckleberry / Chuckleberry Finn.

Have fun with the spirits you summon...

Oh, you think that disputes are your ally. But you merely adopted the dispute; I was born in it, molded by it.

I feel like disputing my own person some days.

Some days my brain and memory has more holes in it than swiss cheese.

I have decided that the way to look wise while slowing losing my marbles

is to ask someone a "make you think question" as if I am being philosophical every time I can't remember something,

including not remembering their name, how I know them, details I should know because I deal with those details everyday, etc.

Meanwhile, our TV has a camera on it and is connected to the Internet,

and I am fairly certain that the aliens are not only using it to watch me but are also laughing at me.

I have legit lost my blue belt certificate does that make me a target? It was 15 years ago.

@ Williammurphy people cross training is a problem, I just told our local ex sambo champion to compete as a brown belt mostly because I didn't want to see people hurt :-)

I downvote and message them this:

Sorry to down vote your profile. It is solely based on incomplete promotion history.
It is becoming a problem with many registered users and it slows down the verification process.
please message me when it is done so I can immediately up vote your profile.

I like it. I'm having a hard time voting for people. I don't know almost anyone on the site and people standing next to people in photos with different color belts just isn't enough for me. Like, compete or fight as least once, geez.
