The statistics we have on this site are fantastic. However, they may be skewed by people who do not fill out their profiles correctly.
So many people who have 0 months of transition from one belt to another. I would believe it was one or two, but so many people. Also, it would be nice to have estimates of hours to reach each belt. However, people would need to input either an average number of hours per week in each belt or to log all training which is not realistic. Having average training hours per week plus the year of belt promotion would give enough data to have a great understanding of how many hours people need to reach each belt.

Of course, not excluding outliers would skew it again. Like if someone says they did 4 times a week but took 20 years to get their blue belt because they had a gap of 18 years.

The data is not perfect, but it's the best we've got 😄

Honestly, I don't think it's THAT many who has a zero day promotion time. I counted 36 out of 30,000 profiles. These are all likely people who have skipped a belt for one reason or another, which is absolutely possible.

Don’t take me wrong the data on belt checker is really great! So far the best source for average belt time I could find!
I was making suggestions that I believe it would improve the data so much. But I’m not aware of how difficult that would be in practice. 🙂
