Hello-

I am looking for an A3 Black Belt from The Green Gi company, I am aware they’ve been out of business for a while just thought I’d check on here to see if anyone has one they’d like to part with.

Best belt ever. I bought a purple and a brown early, very glad I did. I've just been dyeing them whenever I get promoted ever since, meaning they are now both black.

The hemp thing is nice, but my favourite aspect of The Green Gi belts is their lack of a core. Means they aren't all stiff, I don't like that about othet belts.

Ctrl Industries do something similar. Not hemp, but it doesn't have a core and the feel isn't too far off, from what I can tell based on reports from people who have them.

I'll be able to confirm sometime next week, ordered one of those. The tendency for other belts to feel like a back brace (because of how stiff they are) since I don't do the single row/double layer overlap behind my back was starting to become a problem. Surprised no other belt brand has tried to step into the void that TheGreenGi left behind here.
Great! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts (James is the guy who told me about the Ctrl belt). :D

I still can't remember the company I was telling you about, who were working on a The Green Gi belt replacement. Definitely in my Instagram somewhere, I'll go have another dig.

Found them in my old Instagram messages, but looks like they've given up, unfortunately (account has changed name and gone dead). Shame, the pics of sample belts they sent me looked promising:

I pm'ed them and they said 'No stocks anywhere' I also want a Black A3 :)
PMed who? The people who used to run the Green Gi, or a different company? As yeah, if the former, I know them personally and checked a few years ago (no stock then either, so as you'd expect, still no stock now).

Inverted Gear makes a belt with no core as well. I have a brown one, next time I'm downstairs I'll take a picture of it. https://www.invertedgear.[...]ancy-belts
Ooo, bamboo, nice! :D

Also, I keep hearing how Inverted Gear is run by good people, which matters to me (I'll finally meet them when I teach at the Heidelcamp this year).

I guess you could try losing/gaining a load of weight? Though then only the belt would fit and you'd need new everything else. Choices. :P
