Hi all.

In your BJJ journey everyone have almost always a favorite technique or submission. Sometimes they change al long the path from white to black. But what is your favorite and did it change when you progressed?

When I first began I Forsure loved triangle chokes. After I was introduced to 50/50 straight ankle locks as a white belt it’s been all down hill since then with leg locking 🤣 don’t get me wrong I still love triangles from all over….but legs 🤷‍♂️ 😂

I love the bow and arrow, triangle and izekiel choke , learned bow and arrow pretty early. But get the most taps from the izekiel and triangle choke

My favorite will always be the classic rear naked choke or any lapel variation.

For me good old armbars are the most satisfying to catch but in my opinion the king of all subs is the RNC.
Very satisfying when you can set it up and finish it.
I do both gi and no gi and really enjoy lapel chokes as well.
Hell I like all of it.

I would have to say technique is either the Shaolin sweep or the wedge bolo because no one see's it coming from someone my size. Submission is easy its mothers milk all day.

Back in my white/blue belt days I used the triangle choke a lot. Nowadays I rounded out my game, and prefer going to the mount and strangle people from there.

I believe it was Frank Mir on a pod cast that said pretty much the same!
