Roll Rank for BJJ App

Recently a pop up ad came up for me for an app in beta testing called “Roll Rank for BJJ.” Disclaimer: I have zero affiliation with this app in any way. Anyways it’s marketed like a chess ranking app. You make a profile of your category, belt, weight etc. Search up a local grappler, challenge him to a match, meet up and roll. Winner gets points added to their profile creating a rank structure.
If you challenge someone with a much higher rank than you, and win, the reward will be bigger for you than if a purple belt challenges a low ranked blue belt for example.
It reminds me of a mixture of Pokémon go battles, and Digital fight club.
What do you guys think of the idea? There’s more to it of course but that’s the general gist of it. It’s brand new and in beta so not a lot of users yet. But it would be interesting to challenge random people to matches. Apparently you can record it and save the video in the app as well.
I’m curious about the legality of it though as the app doesn’t seem to have any waivers or any legal disclaimers. What happens if a match goes bad and someone gets seriously hurt and decides to sue the developer who “organized” the match?
Thoughts?

If only someone would invent such a system, where the participants knew the date and trained for the matches well in advance, in a large rented facility, with many participants in each category so you would get many matches in the same day, with licensed referees and professional first aid personell in place. Wild thinking perhaps, but why not have audience and trophies/medals as well?

Impossible. Will never happen.

It seems very similar to various wrestling meet-up apps. The only significant difference is the ranking system which would obviously rely on the integrity of the participants.
