Anyone know why the Euros were moved to Paris? I used to go to the Lisbon event and always really enjoyed the experience. This year I attended the 2nd Paris event and can say it was no where near as good as Lisbon was. Thoughts?

No evidence but I suspect funding. In France the bjj federation is linked to judo. France is holding the Olympics this year and the venue is the judo games venue making it a great test event.
They will have simply offered a more competitive package to bring the champs to France.
